Spiritual Typhoon

The full name of this doujinshi is actually "Spiritual Typhoon, The Last Number, Kenshin and Kaoru" and it was done by Mitsru Aoyagi Kiryu. It's all one story, spanning a bit over 100 pages. The basic idea is all is normal and well at the Kamiya dojo until an intruder shows up and challenges Kaoru to a match, and something (supernatural?) happens when they fight. Everyone else is out at the time and when they come back they find Kaoru bleeding and unconcious. Megumi bandages her up and at first Kaoru acts like everything is fine, but after a while it becomes pretty after a while that everything is NOT fine. I believe she has somehow become possessed by her swordsman spirit (that's what the person on ebay said when I bought it from them). It's up to Kenshin to try to get her back to normal. This doujinshi is rather confusing. There are certain parts involving masks and at one point Kaoru puts one and just vanishes (I think it's supposed to be metaphorical or something). The artwork is very beautiful, except I think there are some parts where the artist was slacking off.

Everyone thinks that Kaoru is acting normal, but Kenshin is a bit unsure. (Just one of those moments where everyone is holding their breath to see who says what next...)

Two seconds before this Kaoru was acting very pleasant but then she sees the mask lying on the ground, picks it up and puts it on. She says something to Kenshin and starts crying and then she just vanishes and Kenshin breaks down.

Everyone is wondering about Kaoru, and Megumi is looking like some weird, evil lady (in my opinion).

Kenshin eventually ends up fighting the "new", changed Kaoru.

After fighting, Kenshin finds Kaoru down by the river. They talk and "make up" heh heh. But Kaoru doesn't actually return to her old self until shortly after this.
