This is a fairly simple tutorial. Start with a background filled w/ soft dots. Rename this layer swirl 1

Duplicate this layer the name the copy swirl 2. This is just so that we can keep track of the many different layers. Take swirl 1 and go to Effects ---> Distortion Effects ---> Twirl and set the value to 720. Do the same thing to swirl 2 except set the twirl value to -720. Set the blending layer mode to lighten. This is what you should get.

Duplicate layer swirl 1 and name it polar 1. Go to Effects ---> Distortion Effects ---> Polar Coordinates and select Rectangular to Polar and Wrap. This is what you should get.

Duplicate swirl 2 and name it polar 2. Do the same thing except select Polar to Rectangular instead.

Duplicate polar 2 and go to Effects ---> Distortion Effects --->Wave and use these settings.
Once you've done that, go to Adjust ---> Blur ---> Gaussian Blur, set the value at 0.50. This is what you should have thus far.

Duplicate swirl 2 again and go to Effects ---> Distortion Effects ---> Ripple and use these settings.
After you've done that go to Effects ---> Distortion Effects ---> Wave and use the same settings that you used before. Then go to Adjust ---> Blur ---> Gaussian Blur and use the same settings as before. This is what your final reslut should look like. If they aren't allready, the blending mode for all the layers should be lighten.
