Layout Info:
Updates 8-06-07: So I guess I've been talked out of changing the name of this website, I would lose too much traffic. I still have so much stuff to do for this site that it's overwhelming. However, I did accomplish one of the goals that I set for myself. I've just set up the new RK Cosplay section where you can see some of the pictures I took at Otakon this year. Right now it's still small, but it will grow in the future!. I'm debating whether I should post photos of myself in that section, since I did cosplay as Yumi, but right now I'm not doing that. So much to do...6-16-07: I know that I said this two updates ago... but THIS is the longest I've ever gone without updating this website. I'm now on summer break from college and this past term was by far one of the most difficult for me emotionally, so that's why I haven't been working on the site... I'm so glad it's summer. But anyways we have a nice well-rounded update today... this morning... it's actually 4:00 AM right now. To start off we have new fanart by several different artists, one of which I'm featuring in the "Featured" section. There is one new wallpaper, although it's actually been there for a little while now but I neglected to mention that I had posted it. And last but not least I added a new episode summary to the Tsuioko Hen summary section. I still have a lot of work to do and emails to answer and a big announcement to make, but it'll have to wait until tomorrow aka later today... I need to sleep. THIS SITE LIVES!!!
Update: So I'm back and rested. This announcement has been something that I've been musing over for some time now. I've been thinking about changing the name of this website. I feel like "Rurouni Kenshin Romantation" is a bit long and... weird, so it would be nice to have a name that wasn't so hard for people to remember. I don't know what I want to rename it or even if I will. I'm kinda worried about how the name and domain change would effect site traffic. Oh, something I'm very proud of: last I checked this site was sittin pretty at no. 5 on Google if you search for Rurouni Kenshin (When I saw I was like O_O Thank you everyone for visiting!!!). But again, I don't know if I'll change the name unless I can think of a name that I truly think is better. If anyone has any suggestions for a good name then please drop me a line be it by
2-11-07: So I lied... again. But to make up for it here's a new layout!!! I want to talk more about it but I need to go eat first......
Okay now I'm back! So I was gonna using the winning design of the layout contest as the next layout for this site but unfortunately I didn't get any entries... It made me sad, next time I'll just have to do better advertising. For this layout I decided to organize the navigation a little more so there would be less scrolling, so it's now up in the banner. I also deleted a couple of sections, namely the 'My Adoptions' page because I didn't feel like it and anything to the site and the 'Win Awards' section. Sadly I've gotten so much spam that it's just not worth keeping it going, I apologize to those who actually applied and I'm going to try to go back and look through for those people. Also, in case you haven't noticed yet there is a new section above where the affiliates are listed called, 'Featured Item'. It's kinda like a site of the month thing but it can include any sort of thing related to RK. Feel free to submit any suggestions as long as they're appropriate. Somewhere down the line (meaing during the summer when I go to Otakon and take lots of pictures) I want to start a cosplay section for this site. Also on the "to do" list, find a new guestbook and a new comment system, cutenews perhaps?
12-03-06: So... I think that this is the longest that I've ever gone without updating this puppy. In fact I don't even a have an update to make right now cuz college has been too crazy thus far, but my break will be coming up in a week and there will be major updates come that time. I'm sorry also that I haven't checked my email in a really long time either (I just checked and I have like, 100 unread messages, most of them spam though) so I probably won't be responding to emails until my break either. This is just a friendly little announcement that this site is not dead. So, until next week...
9-06-06: Yeah... I didn't take into account that right after I came back from NYC I would be going to Hawaii for another two weeks, but I'm back with AVENGENCE! On the plane back to Boston (when I wasn't busy being claustrophobic and loosing my damn mind) I wrote character profiles for Soujirou Seta and Okita, so those have been posted in the Characters section. It's really depressing to me that this site has been around for so long but doesn't really have that much information as far as I'm concerned. Also, there's one new award winner, and four new fanarts (two of which were done by me!). And last but not least, I've decided to reopen Affiliation (one of my affiliates, Manga Necessity seems to have vanished), so for more on that for those who are interested visit the Affiliation section. (Edit) The Kenshin technique list has been updated with the special umbrella techniques from episode 13.
